In the United States, the UU Partner Church Council (UUPCC) will act as the fiscal agent for BUILD UU PHILIPPINES. Tax deductible donations can be made through the UUPCC. You can either make an online donation at

In the Philippines, a separate bank account with the name UUCP: In trust of BUILD UU PHILIPPINES has been opened with the Philippine National Bank’s Dumaguete Branch for Philippine pesos and US dollars. The BUILD UU Philippines Steering Committee will be made aware of these accounts and will be updated regularly.

The Partner Church Council will also maintain a ledger of each donor to the BUILD UU Philippines Project and provide receipts and regular updates of donor contributions.

Over $50,000 – Dr. Jose Rizal Level
Jose Rizal, the martyred national hero of the Philippines, was a doctor, poet, writer, progressive thinker. Half a century before Quimada or anyone else there heard of Universalism, he wrote Seven Principles that closely resemble ours. Because of his social protests against the oppression of his people by Spain and the Catholic Church, at the age of 35 he died before a firing squad. In Fort Santiago, today a museum, you can walk in his golden footsteps embedded in the earth he loved. With your gift:

$25,000 – $50,000 Father Gregorio Aglipay Level
At this level of commitment, you are acting as boldly as did Bishop Aglipay who led the Philippine Protestant Reformation. Bishop Aglipay was a close friend of Unitarian President Louis Cornish; Aglipay received an honorary degree from Meadville Lombard School for the Ministry. With your gift:

When you give at this level of stewardship, you help to honor the martyred first leader of Universalism on Negros Island. He was a committed father and husband, a fierce preacher, organizer and social activist. You are helping to keep Toribio Quimada’s dream present for another generation. With your gift:

$5,000 – 14,900 – Reverend Rebecca Quimada-Sienes Level
As a child, Rev. Rebecca Quimada Sienes would assist her father as he walked and rode from village to village, from market to market sharing the powerful message of Unitarian Universalism. Now a graduate of Meadville Lombard Theological School and an ordained UU minister, Rev. Quimada-Sienes is a strong and visionary Filipina. Giving at this level assures and sustains the energy and passion. With your gift:
